The Organising Committee of the World Canals Conference 2009 is announcing an international photo contest Canals: Following the inner flow for the best photos of canals. The propositions and registration for the photo contest can be downloaded here: Photo contest, Registration form.  

Mike and Rosaleen Miller from Ireland have arrived in Novi Sad on their boat Aquarelle and they are the first participants of the World Canals Conference who came in Serbia. This year's World Canals Conference caused a great interest among the professionals, experts, users and enthusiasts from all over the world. The participants from Canada, the United States, Great Britain, Ireland, Swedeen, Italy, France, Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Austria, Croatia and Hungary have confirmed their arrival.

Please note that the deadline for submission papers for the 2009 World Canals Conference in Serbia is July 31, at 12.00 hours. The papers should be sent by e-mail to chair@wcc2009serbia.org.

PWMC Vode Vojvodine has organized the regatta from June 25 to July 1 along the canals of Hydrosystem Danube-Tisza-Danube and Danube River. Regatta includes 200 kilometers of waterways and is a way to present some of great navigable opportunities we have in Vojvodina, as well as to announce the 2009 World Canals Conference in Serbia.

The opportunity to register for the 2009 World Canals Conference at a reduced rate is still available. Discounted registration has been extended to July 1, 2009.
